Launch of Sublime in the South East
Sublime, the brand-new range of premium ice creams and sorbets, has now been launched in the South East.

Under the strapline 'Lovingly sourced, naturally flavoured', the new range is being marketed to top chefs and restauranteurs, for whom the provenance of food is paramount.

Sublime is set to tantalise the taste buds of foodies, as it combines natural ingredients with distinctive flavours to create sensational desserts. Handcrafted to exacting standards, Sublime ice creams blend taste, texture and temperature into an irresistible gourmet experience.

"This truly is the best ice cream that money can buy," says Stewart Williams, Managing Director of Subzero, the Kent-based producer of Sublime. "And that's as much about what we leave out as what we put in. We use milk and cream from our local dairy and freshly picked Kentish farm fruits, combining some of these ingredients with aromatic spices, exotic fruit and premium liqueurs. What we leave out are the artificial colours, flavours, stabilisers and preservatives. Neither do we use milk powder, reconstituted whey, gluten, bulking agents or genetically modified ingredients. It's simply pure and wholesome ice cream, made the traditional way but with less sugar so it's healthier too."

Unlike many mass manufacturers, Subzero does not add excessive amounts of air to the Sublime range, although a little is required to allow it to be scooped. "A large number of the 'soft scoop' products on the market contain more than 50% air," explains Stewart Williams. "With Sublime, we add just enough air to allow you to scoop it, which explains why it's incomparably tasty."

The company takes pride in using mostly local produce, enabling staff to monitor quality closely while also supporting British farmers and helping the environment.
